RESEARCH ASSISTANCE

Recommended sites for Humanities and TOK to help you in gathering information for your current events, essays, and externals.

USE YOUR SOURCES EFFECTIVELY

The internet is a valuable tool for your research, but remember, the information you obtain is only as good as the site that publishes it.  Throughout our course this year, you will be investigating numerous questions relating to the themes of each unit.  Use these sites to gather information and to critically evaluate what you know.

It is important that you constantly consider the source:  Is it reliable?  Is it Valid?  Is it a primary source?  Is it a secondary source?  What is its providence?  Does it use primary and secondary sources from reliable and valid sources to support its claim?  What are its values and limitations?  (Click on the high-lighted terms to learn more.)

Evaluating values and limitations of sources.
